2019-2020 Post-Draft and Trades

Not necessarily to Buffalo, but to any younger team thinking they are ready to jump into contention. Price would be a 1st and a B-level prospect, or 2nd and an A-level prospect, I'd imagine. Teams like Buffalo, Carolina, Calgary (ugh, don't send him somewhere in the division please!), Florida if they don't get Bob, or Columbus come to mind.

Any contending team looking for a little depth able to give really good penalty killing minutes, championship experience, and the ability to play up-and-down the lineup if injuries arrive. Teams like Nashville, NYI, Columbus, and Montreal need help on the PK. And Lewis brings that in spades.

Team that needs some scoring depth would love Kovalchuk at 4mil in exchange for a young NHL-ready player. His contract ends before the expansion, so that's not a worry. Teams like Dallas orthe Islanders seem like a good fit. Maybe for a player like Nichushkin or Ho-Sang who need a fresh start.

Any team that needs depth character and grit. Toronto was supposedly interested. Based the picks off of the Nate Thompson trade, but due to the better scoring than Nate the cost to the Kings is a 6th, not a 5th.
