Agreed, but it's fun seeing the bloom come off that Sergachev rose. Montreal fans have been ridiculously overwrought with this trade. Scouts were concerned that his development was topping out in his last year in junior and he was suspended by the Knights during the OHL playoffs. He's a good NHLer, but the hysteria around the Sergachev-Drouin trade was ridiculous and it should be evident after this season that both players have their strengths and failings.

Sergachev simply wouldn't be good enough for Montreal's system. His offense is ELITE, but he can't play defense to save his life. Montreal would do this trade, but I doubt Bergevin would want Sergachev back in the first place.
