Description

Vanek and Witter are stop gaps. They're probably the best bang for buck and fit for what you need (cheap vet to mentor and emergency bench rider). Hronek and Cholowski spend most of their time in Grand Rapids but will take the slots of Ericsson and Daley next season. Gardiner and Myers probably command a little more. I'm fine with as much as $6.5M per over five years for each. If Svech, Zadina, or Veleno take the AHL by storm, Witter can be buried with no penalty and Abby sit. Same goes if Hronek or Cholowski need to be up. Just carry 8 d-men. I think the big question is do the d-men get more than $6.5M on the market.
