Kapanen trade would have to be draft-day, or NSH / BOS 2nd instead.

At 35ish overall there's still a chance for some real talent to be on the board, and the Devils still need to add defensemen to their system once they go with a forward at #1.

I would think using the 35th pick on a guaranteed top 6 winger is smarter than risking a defence prospect that won't be useful till Halls best years are behind him, you draft best prospects available not team needs
