Considering Stammer was basically injured the last 2 seasons and Point carried the goal load , I'll take Point all day long over Keller - no doubt Keller's points go up playing on a better team with better players but let's not act like Taylor Hall isn't elite or that Dvorak is some slouch of a player

Thought the penalty on Anderson was soft, refs allowed the leafs back into the game. Vesey initiated contact and Anderson just powered through him. Soft call.
There were some missed calls the other way too, I just don't have videos, Cross Checks on Matthews (although Matthews broke his stick over Chiarot after the whistle earlier so probably even), trip on Mikheyev breakaway definitely effected his shot, trip on Muzzin early in the game.
The missed calls are pretty much even, it's the soft Anderson call that gets me.
Edit: Then the refs nice assist for the tying goal... but the refs are in play can't fault them there justa bad bounce.</div></div>

Can only assume it's not a 1 4 1 deal, it's pretty rare to see a UFA sign an extension for trade purposes

Deadline 3C
I see you assume the Pens make the cut with that dismal defence they got and Buffalo doesn't take a few big steps forward - Buffalo is as likely to be in the playoffs as the Pens - this pens lineup has a high probability of watching the playoffs this year

Toronto Maple Leafs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>Chicago passes. We are locked in on defense on the right side with Boqvist and Mitchell as two hot prospects, Murphy who I'll take over Holl any day, Regula who's a budding good prospect and Seabrook still around so Holl doesn't offer much value. Mikko is an okay prospect but Hawks are loaded with okay or better prospects on the defensive left side. Kerfoot type of players aren't anything special. Classic case of not understanding the needs of the team you're trying to acquire a player from.
From a Leafs perspective, don't think Strome wouldn't be a good fit as a 3rd liner long term and with JT locked into 4 years it would be a bad move to acquire Strome.</div></div>
I get Chicago is in a rebuild but they have like the worst defense in the league, they are in experienced but are terrible they have given up the most high danger chances 2 years running and certainly haven't improved - I wouldn't do this trade as Murphy and Holl are the same player I'll give Murphy the edge as he's played more but he certainly doesn't hold the fort on the defensive end he does well with a quality partner (just like Holl)

That's his AAV, his contract was massively front loaded actual cash is like 9 million each of the last 4 years of his contract, hes been paid for this season already in bonus

It's 2 years of Dubois, and Savard is a significant upgrade on Holl, Holl looks fine and capable along side Muzzin, Savard can carry a defensive load if a Muzz or Brodie were to go down for 10-20 games

This core can absolutely win it all, well built, loads of top end talent, it's time for CBJ to move on from Torts he has a shelf life and has historically become a problem with players, this where the trade rumours stem from, he's hard very hard to play for

Adding Another to the Plethora of Marner Trade Proposals Today
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CheechYou</b></div><div>So the full argument is that this is not all in a nutshell. It's a context of TOR doing a prudent thing and replacing one of their 3 11mil+/yr guys with some depth to deepen the roster. Could it be Seth Jones and Bjorkstrand? Ideally for TOR, but I highly highly doubt CBJ do it. Same thing with CAR with Pesce and another forward. The problem isn't just that it's hard to find a team willing to pay for a cost-controlled player that at the same time brings the level of elite play Marner brings -- the problem is that which team is going to be willing or even able to fit in Marner's 11mil contract? Kane (with 10% retained) and Labanc is a fair proposal considering all these factors, even if it's not 100% fair value (it's close though).
Lol at calling Kane a 7mil grinder... *sign* smh</div></div>
TO will make room for his "$11 Million dollar" contract which they so clearly have, they have depth (more than the Sharks) in all 3 zones without making a move

Tampa but somehow better
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BigDaddyOvech</b></div><div>Leafs are too tight against the cap to take on the additional $500k. Also, Holl isn't a Norris winner, no. But he came along way last year compared to a year ago sitting in the press box for almost the whole season not getting any opportunity to improve. Holl is better than Schenn at this point and still has slight upside, whereas Schenn most certainly does not. Coburn would add some size, but the Leafs also have plenty of options for 3rd pairing LHD. Coburn also has a NTC.
I think this is the first ACGM I've seen where somebody from another team actually wants Holl though so good on you!</div></div>
This is a senseless trade for TO, and how did "Holl is not Norris winner" even enter the conversation? I don't remember any of Cernak, Colburn or Schenn being Norris winners either

I made it, I assumed having Barzal signed at 2 different terms with 2 different AAVs was rather self explanatory on those being potential options for his yet to be signed contract now clearly I forgot this is Capfriendly and should have explained that in great detail in the description which you all still would of missed in your hurry to insult the poster

I believe their primes start at 24 and run through 30, so sort of I guess , but you'd have the same situation here with Pesce and Pageau (who has a horrendous contract)
