Why would the leafs trade Marner, specifically for another offensive defenseman. Marner is more untouchable on the leafs than anyone else, he is the only player that makes everyone around him better. He is their top PK forward, QB of the PP, not 100% sure but l believe he lead the league in takeaways, the only guy on the leafs on the #1 unit in every situation. How do you replace that with a d-man?

You could move Mariner back to D. Look at Brent Burns and Fedorov played some D throughout his career and finished his career as a defenseman for the Caps.

So Wings trade Seider, who is controlled for 5 mote years for Nylander who is going to get big contract in two years and a 1st which is years away. As I ha e said this past week, Please shake your head

I actually thought this was a good move for CHI if offered. Can prob move Brodie retained at TDL for more futures. So essentially getting Lily for free which could be a nice piece of work.

Not a Chicago fan and don’t know needs that well though so may be off base.

Too many roadblocks, I think. They want to have opportunities for their young players and I doubt they spend a 2nd on anything other than drafting for at least a few years, unless it involves somehow getting a higher pick back. We'll see, but I don't think CHI is going out and buying on anyone any time soon.
