I wouldn't add on a Nylander - Anderson deal. Nylander has a higher ceiling than him. I would like a player that plays the style Anderson plays but not at the expense of nylander. I get that in this situation we'd be in a crunch to shed some salary so I see why you did that.

I'm kind of over the Polak era in Toronto. He's just too slow and would be more open to resigning hainsey than Polak.

I agree, they need someone like a Polak but I honestly couldn’t think of a similar player that would go cheaply against the cap. Wouldn’t mind seeing the leafs take a stab at getting Hainsey for 1 x1 or if they can get Stralman for a discount as well. There is good opportunity to add a veteran RHD for the 3rd pairing to kill penalties in free agency.

Josh Anderson is not going anywhere.
