I don't really like the buyout option for ANA. The reason for that is his second year cap hit is 6,625,000. It's such a small savings that the only thing you are really doing is opening up cap space for 1 year and spreading the pain out longer term. It seems pointless. Especially for a team that is not in contention to win a cup. The core has aged out, they are rebuilding. Swallow the pain, let the other older contracts expire with it, and then get a fresh start.
