I don’t really hate it, but the Blues could very easily buyout Allen.

They'd be spending about 1.5 mil for the next 4 seasons to buy him out. I guess it depends on just how important that cap space is to STL

It’s still pretty favorable. I’m not convinced the Blues couldn’t retain salary and receive some asset in return. It seems like a 3rd of the league needs a goalie and Allen had a nice 2nd half as the backup. I’d think somebody would take a swing at Allen for 2 million.
