Description
Would SJ be willing to move Labanc. They are pretty close to the cap and NYR has some young assets and affordable roster players. I don't watch a ton of sharks games and am Not sure what Labanc's value is so please let me know how far off I am either way.

Sharks fans will probably say not enough coming in return..and they might be right....the only problem is that they don't have. much leverage given the fact that they have about 12 million dollars to sign 18 million dollars worth of players unless they really think they can get Meier and Labanc to sign for less than 4 mil on bridge deals..

Fit and trade makes sense, but not even close to enough in return

What do you think would be fair. My thinking was that they are in a win now mode and would rather have players that could contribute at the NHL level instead of picks and prospects. Pionk would be good in SJ playing 3rd pair minutes for less than you pay Braun. Vesey would be a top 9 forward for them that adds depth up front. Nieves would be a 13th forward capable of playing on the 4th line. This is clearly quantity over quality here but being strapped against the cap I figured filling out 3 roster spots plus shedding Braun's salary would be enough. Would you be more interested in a prospect like Anderson or Lindgren? Those types of players just don't fit the timeline to me when your paying Karlesson 11.5M a year.

Labanc is going to be a really good player, theres just nothing back to entice SJ, maybe Chytil+ would be on the right track but I think SJ is better off just trading Braun/ Dillon and resign Labanc/Meier
