Werenski's deal looks fair, but for $7.5M I think the Jackets should push for the full 8 years. I think I'd go to $7M on a 5 or 6 year term. Milano's deal is what he's worth and probably his last chance to stick in the NHL. He doesn't play that high up the lineup though. Korpisalo's deal is perfect, but I don't think you carry three goalies at the NHL level. I honestly think they don't go sign a long term starter, and instead have Merzilikins and Korpisalo compete to be the starter, or perhaps sign a short term starter to mentor Merzilikins and deal Korpisalo to a team in need of a backup.

I would not sign Mrazek long term, but he would be a decent signing on a 2 or 3 year deal while they find out if Merzilikins is their goalie of the future. I think $5.5M is a bit steep (probably a million or so more than I think he's worth). Duchene's deal is about a half million too much but not too bad. Giving up another first to keep him and ponying up that huge contract may end up backfiring a few years down the road though.

I think Duchene's contract is more than enough too, but Kevin Hayes's contract just made Duchene's numbers go up as well.
I agree with the statements you made about Mrazek.
