Salary Cap Mode: Basic

Didn't make too many crazy moves because cap space needs to be saved for next year (Barzal, Pulock and Toews if he plays like he did last year). Shedding the Hickey and Leddy contracts were a must.

Buy-low on Puljujarvi and hope he's at least serviceable - He's on the 4th line but the Isles roll their lines so he'd get a good amount of playing time regardless.

Koivula makes the jump to the big club, he had a great year in Bridgeport last year and the Isles need to start being careful with how they spend their money. Unless they decide to go for another Filppula-like player on a 1-year-deal.

Beau is a good offensive player, sticking him on a line with Komarov and Filppula killed his production. With Nelson and Bailey he can easily be a 25 goal player.

3rd line should be able to be a little bit of offense and defense, both Koivula and Dal Colle are good two-way players and Ho-Sang still needs to work on it. But they all have offensive capabilities.

Lehner needs to be back, unless they go for a cheaper stopgap goalie like Smith. I want 0 part of Bobrovsky. Just need to fill holes until Sorokin is here next year.

As long as they buy into the system again this year, they should be even better than last year. Sacrificing some defense for offense is what I'd do which is why I tried to add scoring in all areas.

It's not a crazy team but it's one that leaves money for more players in the future, which is a necessity.
