Yup. That's it. Team said due to cap space they'll have a 22 man roster and roll with the punches if there are injuries. I gauge that Vrana will get 2 x $3.5M exactly. They will trade both Stevie and Boyd, have Gersich as 13th forward and rotate him with Leipsic on the left side of 4th line. Djoos at $715K minimum QO.

I don't think they trade Boyd since he can play center and has some experience doing it. If Dowd needs a rest, Boyd can play 4C for a game or three. I love Stephenson, but GMBM clearly isn't fond of him and it's for the best that he moves on, especially now that we have Hagelin locked up. I'd like to give Djoos two years for a slightly higher AAV than his QO as long as we have the money for it, which we do. Just gives us a little more defensive depth, and you can never have too many defensemen.

Truth to much of what you said, but on the D men we have a lot coming up...Lewington looked good, LucasJo, Alexeyev, Fehervary, etc, etc, etc...Djoos could yield a decent pick.

As much as I like our young LHDs, I'd much rather see a two year deal for him. LuJo hasn't shown the upside when we drafted him, but I for sure think Alexeyev plays in 2020. I think Alexeyev is primed to be Orlov's replacement in like two years, and Fehervary/Siegenthaler can be a Kempny type of guy. Djoos is just more depth for the next two years, and he has decent experience, so if there's a long term injury, I'd like to have that guy available to rotate in with a younger guy.

I also think we should move Johansen if he doesn't take big strides this season. Even if it's in a prospect swap, he most likely doesn't have a future here, which is a shame. I thought he was great for us at camp before we won the Cup, and when I watched him in preseason, I thought he had a legitimate shot to make the team. He's kinda tailed off ever since then, which sucks.
