That's horrible value for Gusev. I'd hope for at least a conditional 2nd.

No need to tie Holden to him to make the trade. Holden can be dumped separately.

No he's not. He's trending towards being a 4th liner/bust. At best he ends up a 3rd liner.

He was never that good, even on the day he was drafted.

That’s a little extreme to say. He still has pretty decent upside. Put him on the right line and I think he has success with a little offseason work on his face offs and dzone coverage, his shot could use some work too but I don’t see him as a 4th liner bust just yet.

He never had top 6 upside IMO(never showed it in juniors, WJC, AHL, NHL). His younger brother, on the other hand...
