Where do all the pieces fit

If the young future core players aren't playing in the top 9 forwards, then they need to be playing top six minutes in Laval. I can see Poehling earning a spot but I feel that Caufield will be best served playing a minimum of 2 years at the NCAA level. Although Suzuki put up crazy numbers in the OHL last year it is my opinion that he too would be best served playing this coming year in Laval. Montreal has some exciting young players but rushing them into tough spots and difficult assignments is not best for their development.

It would make sense that Tatar, Danault and Gallagher start the season together based on there play from last year.
The real questions start after that and they depend on who is playing center... is KK going to be ready to handle more minutes and tougher assignments that the c2 will be required to handle. If not then he goes back to c3. If this is the case does that take that spot from Poehling? In a perfect world KK is C2 and Domi is his LW and Poehling plays in the c3 spot.
