Description
This is a realistic thing that I think will happen. Cant see any huge trades happening in the offseason. Later in the season towards the trade deadline is when I will expect to see a trade for a competent 2RW. In the meantime, i think that Kuhlman is a good fit (and who knows, maybe he thrives this season). 3rd for miller might be a stretch but i think they can get it done. And I think that a 4th or 5th is reasonable for Moore. Dont necessarily think these teams are the trade targets for Miller and Moore so thats still open, but they'll be alot easier to get rid of than Backes with his trade list. As for the RFAs, I think they'll bridge Carlo (maybe alittle low for value) and go alittle longer of a term for McAvoy to grab 1 year of UFA. Dont know where backes plays into the lineup but I dont think this is a bad start (maybe swap backes and ritchie?). What do you all think?

I don't think they'll trade Moore and I'd guess a prospect (Cehlarik/Bjork) starts the year instead of Backes

I feel like theyre going to either go for Moore + Miller or only backes for trades to make room for the cap for Carlo/McAvoy, unless they bridge both of them which is very possible. But yeah that makes sense for backes, really pulling for Bjork to have a full healthy season where he can show what he can do, whether thats good or bad play

A Miller trade + Backes demotion gives them around 12M which should be enough for long term deals. Me too, seen flashes with Bergeron but who knows.

I just can’t see Mcavoy getting such a player friendly term as a group 1 rfa

I based it off of this, https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15E1qqh3OfHvvhbv_pICfKT7VR1jJEVhWQOyKviWLN54/edit#gid=707766415. Maybe closer to 7 but I dont think its that far off.
