Description
Senators fans what you think. You'll be getting a good young center who's played in AHL and has a good time line for your plan, you'll get Matthew Perreault who has only 2 years left on his contact but it a great room guy and can show young guys what energy level it takes to play in NHL.

I'd offer sheet puljujarvi for the 3rd and see if they match prob not but not sure. You can sign Conner and Laine long term. Idk let me know what you guys think open to Crits

I like Perreault, but this doesn't do it for me. If the sens are going to take a bad contract, the return needs to justify having to sit a good young player.

Obviously Perreault's contract isn't that bad, but I still don't think this is enough return considering how up against it the Jets are for cap.

I disagree,

Perreault is still a solid contributing, versatile player who can play up and down the lineup as required on a good team and especially on a depleted Ottawa franchise. He only has 2 more seasons on his deal that only looks terrible from a cap ceiling teams prespective, such as the Jets. For the sens I don't even think this trade sends a rumble through the plan, if anything it allows for a more mature veteran presence in their soon to be young locker room.

I think the Perreault for a 4th rounder is pretty much fair market value for both teams.
