I could see that happening - can’t have matthews and marner be UFA in the same off-season

this contract is a prefect negotiation. Leafs give in a bit on cap hit and mitch adds term to the deal. This is the problem with the current "negotiations"... mitches camp doesn't seem to actually be negotiating they seem to simply be demanding, the leafs have outlined what they are willing to pay for a bridge and long term deal and his camp basically just said "no". both sides need to give in a little for this to work... but I don't see Ferris or Paul marner giving in one bit
