Tatar has already been traded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks during a very bad season. Tatar has also been traded for Pacioretty, multiple times 30 goals scorer, also after this bad ywar. He just had an amazing season and nobody will make a favor to Nashville, but they need to get better on the top6, so this makes sense. Petry is a big and speed dman who just got 42 and 46 points in his last 2 seasons. The last trades involving this kind of dman (Barrie, Subban, Braun, Trouba, Fox, Muzzin, etc.) all suggest this kind of return for Petry. Now, if MTL needs to add something, like a 4th or 3rd round pick to make it happen, it's ok. Or even if it's only a 1st, it's ok. Under this, they should not Trade Petry.
