I hope they strike out on all the UFA's that are either at the end of their prime or already past it. We don't need to give big $$$ and big term to players close to 30 years old when were still several years away from truly competing for a cup instead of limping into the playoffs. Duck fans feel free to tell me what proper value is for Manson. I honestly have no idea.

Probably a little more for Manson. We'd like a stronger younger player but you wouldn't give them up, so a pick would need to be added. Ultimately though he's cheap and a good partner for Lindholm which given we have to carry expensive old hacks like Bieksa means we won't trade him anyway. He's just to valuable, or at least more valuable to us than he might be to other teams.
