Description

If Drouin truly is being shopped, I'd hope for one of two scenarios: Laine, or a LHD.

In the case of Laine, you get a solid goal scorer who's better than Drouin, nuff said.

In the case of the LHD trade, you aquire a LHD and move Suzuki into the lineup (could slot him where Laine would be)

i dont see us trading Drouin to be honest unless its to COL
they're the only ones with any appreciation for Drouin's value .

its fun to see where he might go but the reality is Tatar was brought in as a buy low , sell high reclamation project as a throw in coming off a career high season.

i just dont see a world where we trade a 24 year old french forward we paid i high price for unless we're getting value in return

Example Jost , Zadorov and a 2nd or Newhook, Zadorov and a 1st

MTL was going to take Jost but Sergachev fell into their laps so i know MTL got interest in Brendan Gallaghers biggest fan.

Zadorov is a D MTL can use in their 2nd/3rd pair capacity .
We get an upgrade on Kulak for a playoff run and by proxy our 7th D becomes stronger with Kulak in play.

Drouin's 24 and averaged 50 points the last 3 seasons playing 3 different positions while always being top 3 among PP leaders . Beside Mckinnon and Rantanen i think COL knows 60+ points is possible annually with the possibility of breaking 80-90 now and then depending on Mckinnons play largely just like Junior it puts Drouin over
