You think it’s that far off?? Helps both teams right now and more so Edmonton for the future(as I’m sure nuge will be gone in two years anyways) gives Edmonton the ability to move Draisaitl to be the # 2 centre while still having a skilled fwd (drouin) on mcdavids line .. just my thoughts though

What makes you think Nuge wants to be anywhere else. He’s been a good soldier in this **** show for 9 years and hasn’t complained, if Holland and company can show a team with actual direction in Edmonton I would think Nuge would want to be part of that.

I’m just guessing he’s going to want a bit of a raise and not sure Edmonton is willing/able to pay up .. they have two solid Centres in mcdavid and Draisaitl and are very thin on the wing ... nuge is just a real pro who doesn’t complain ... doesn’t mean he’s not sick of going no where year in and year out while playing a lesser role on the team

Yeah I don’t mean to say you’re wrong and I’m right, who knows what’s going on in his head but he hasn’t given any indication of discontent, might be because he’s a pro might be because he likes the team/city (I think his wife is from Edmonton)

The Oilers also have a ton of money coming off the books before Nuge needs a new deal, we should be able to afford him.
