If I am the Leafs GM, I would not trade Engvall unless the Leafs stole the deal. He, unlike other young assets, offer some intriguing possibilities. He's learned a ton from the Leaf's skating coaches and has become pretty damn good on his feet. He's also been learning how to play centre. Additionally, he plays tough, physical and has some pretty good hands for a guy that is 6'5. Ideally, the Leafs run a fourth line of Timashov-Gauthier/Shore-Engvall by the time playoffs role a round. Suddenly, the Leafs are not so small. He's not untouchable by any means, but as a far, I've really embraced his skill set and ability to learn and buy into the Leafs fast-paced systems.
