Description
Full-strength lineup with a couple holes patched. Capmageddon avoided by chucking Ceci at Pittsburgh, feel free to substitute the Penguins for whatever team you think would take him. Leafs get better defensively, help the PK and get better overall at RD, while staying essentially asset-neutral and adding cap space.
Trades
1.
TOR
  1. 2020 5th round pick (PIT)
PIT
  1. Ceci, Cody
Additional Details:
This team purposefully acquired Eric Gudbranson and Jack Johnson.
2.
TOR
  1. van Riemsdyk, Trevor
  2. 2020 3rd round pick (BUF)
CAR
  1. Johnsson, Andreas
Additional Details:
Canes get more shooting talent, which has been a need for them, on a generally good forward who's still fairly young. Leafs get a solid RD who kills penalties fairly well and can even out their top-4 a bit.
3.
WPG
  1. Barrie, Tyson
Additional Details:
There's a solid argument that this is an overpayment from the Winnipeg side, but given Tyson's historical scoring I think it's fair. Winnipeg fills a couple needs if Tyson bounces back: RD in general and powerplay help. Toronto gets another useful forward and clears up a lineup spot for a more defensively sound RD.

Could you be a bit more specific? I'm open to feedback here.

Sorry about that. Ceci trade is great. Johnsson trade is there I get what your hinting at but I feel like we could trade Kapanen over mango, that barrie trade isn’t what the leafs need at all.

if you would like to trade Ceci for Jack Johnson we can talk about it.
But the penguins don't need Ceci so you are stuck with him otherwise.

Toronto would definitely rather deal Kapanen than Johnsson but I don't think it makes sense from Carolina's side: they need shooting talent more than anything and Kapanen doesn't have nearly as much in that regard as Johnsson.

Barrie's GAR on the year is a beautiful -4.1, he has not been effective. He is probably going to bounce back, but he hasn't historically been good at 5v5 in his career. He does most of his damage on the powerplay and the Leafs don't want to use him there. Winnipeg's a natural fit for him, Lowry's a good player who helps the PK and drives play well at 5v5. He's actually had double Barrie's GAR over the last 3 years, in nearly 1700 fewer minutes.
