Description
The intention would be to trade away Stome and Georgiev during the offseason or until the trade deadline.
The future Top 9 would be in place, same goes for the goalies. On defense there are enough prospects upcoming the following years so the rebuilt would be completed.

A) Trading Strome at the deadline would be preferable, because you might get a premium for a playoff run. But you are right to trade him; he's going to want more money than NYR should feel comfortable giving him.
B) Trading WAY too much for Puljujarvi. Neither of those players should be moved for him, and he does not want to play for EDM again so they really do not have a ton of leverage.
C) Not worth trading Howden for those picks. Not everyone can agree on labeling him a top 9 C, but I think most could agree that he could be an NHL Center. He could be a longer term solution to the 4C position.
D) Byfield is great, but I would not project him to start at 3C to start the season. They may want to give more time for whoever they draft in the upcoming draft.
E) I assume you traded Kreider too?

So you're thinking Byfield is better than Lafreniere?

No but I think Byfield would be a better fit for the Rangers. If they get 1st overall they should draft Lafreniere without a doubt.

A) It would be the best solution, but if they won´t trade him I could see him getting a similar contract that Hayes got in his final year.
B) The problem is that I don´t have high hopes for Anderson and Hajek. That trade would happen during the offseason so there is enough time to figure out how much worth those 2 have. But your right it would be EDM who would have to add another piece in that trade
C) Keeping Howden or trading him wouldn´t make much of a difference for me
D) I believe he will be NHL ready and wil also play center. So if they would get him he would play in that spot or maybe swapping places with Chytil, who knows.
E) Yes keeping Kreider would not make much sence in my opinion even though I really like him. But we would regret that contract very soon and I don´t think he will take much discount to stay with the Rangers
