Why do we give up Ferraro too? I like hanfin but this deal would cripple us. We need a right handed forward we can control long term.

This is really bad for both teams. 1, why would Backlund waive to a team that has zero chance of competing this year? 2, why would San Jose want or need Backlund? Hanifin is better then Ferraro and is worth more then Labanc (and im a big defender of Labanc's value). San Jose doest need defense, they need to retool and get a 1st round pick. San Jose wont trade Labanc unless they are getting a 1st + back, especially in this draft. Yes Labanc would be a nice add for Calgary but this isnt it

Also Dube is not a center and certainly not a 4th liner ans take Brodie off the 3rd pair.
