Vegas says no. We did not move other pieces to sign WK to that contract just to trade him off like that. The likeliest option you will get in this instance is Stastny. Vegas has no interest in Casey Mittelstadt, we already have Center depth and are likely to get more with upcoming picks. Jokiharju however, we are interested in. How about this:

Thats a horrible trade for buffalo, significantly downgrades on defense and getting an overpaid forward, and a forward in Karlsson who's shown that in the wrong system won't succeed (i.e taking a massive risk that he falls off)

Interesting. I never really thought about Stastny as an option. I think Jokiharju holds more value than this trade demonstrates. Stastny is 34, always injured, and is overpayed. Jokiharju is a 20 year old top 4 dman with tons of potential on an entry level deal.
