I believe Patrick will miss the entire year. Therefore, center depth is needed. Besides Connor Bunnaman the rest of the current roster has earned their spot as of now. Ghost has upside on a friendly deal and Rubstov is a young center with some potential. I think Kings are selling for young players with upside. Carter can play center or wing and fills depth, but some salary needs to be retained. The 2nd round pick could be a 3rd or so, but Rubstov and Ghost can fetch that kind of value in my opinion. The Flyers are set up well with young prospects and players in the league. I do not see a major blowup.

There's no reason to trade Ghost to only end up with Carter. While Carter can be effective for this team he cannot be relied upon as a force for 2 more seasons.

Ghost still has value and look at my username I love his game when he is right. This team is loaded on the back-end and he does not fit AV's system. I really only see Braun as someone who will not return next season and we are replenishing our D-Core prospect pool. It is time to try to win. Carter can be a solid depth scorer/20G seasons for next 2 years and if Kings eat salary it is worth it. I am loving the make-up of the roster. They are missing that truly elite player, but we have a good team right now. I think a change of scenery will help both parties.
