If it were me, I would have sold at least some of the guys who had 2 years left at this past deadline (i.e Tatar, Gallagher, Danault, Petry). You could have gotten a really good haul for some of those guys, but the minute that the trade deadline past, their value took a hit. That's hindsight though, so it doesn't matter. I would still sell some of those guys in the summer. You'd get more for the full year, plus you don't risk injury to the players throughout the season. Suck next year, get a high pick, come back stronger in a few years. I hate when teams struggle in that area of mediocrity where they aren't good enough to make the playoffs, but not a bottom feeder either. It always seems like when a team is in that area, the best way to get out of it is to sink first, then swim.
