True! Perhaps a 1-2 year deal would be more accurate at less AAV. He sure didn't do much to help himself this year.

For a person that do not follow the Stars closely it is a pretty good scenario. I love the swap of Honka-Ho Sang. I put that trade in each and every one of my scenarios. Chucky is intriguing but I would put my money on another player in the UFA market, mainly a player with playmaking skills. But if Nill signs him, it should be for a one year deal just like Ho Sang.

Since you are pretty close to the Cap, why not buy out Cogliano and trade Comeau with salary retained. Dallas has 2 or 3 younger and cheaper players pretty much ready for NHL duty in Lesperance/Caamano/Gardner/Kiviranta.

Thank you! Yeah that trade just makes too much sense in my opinion not to happen. There are definitely other options in Free Agency, Chucky could easily be swapped out for one that fits Dallas' needs better.

Also, I really wanted to buy out Cogliano, but figured I would retain him for one more year. The reason being is Heiskanen's contract will be up. Even though a buyout would be $1.08 million for 2 years, I figure Dallas will need as much cap space as possible. Hold onto both Cogliano and Comeau and then they are completely off the books next season.
