It'll be tough for CHI to match this. It's possible, but tough. Why wouldn't you do 5 years though? Doesn't cost MTL anything more...I don't believe

Byron is a cap dump. 3.4M for 10 points isn't good.

he did only play 29 games though. He also averaged .55 points the season before so I could see a team maybe taking a chance.

That was his career best season and what got him his contract. Not a chance he gets 3.4M after this season.

CHicago would have no choice by matching this and Trade Saad to Edmonton or Minnesota or even Vancouver for a one year left
