I can never seem to put my finger on what the habs are doing. Rebuilding retooling or trying to improve and compete?

Retooling and trying to compete at the same time because, you know, it’s MTL. But we will be real good when Weber Price will be 38-36 yo

Why on earth would you want to trade Danault? just because he says he doesn't want to play a 3rd C defensive role? Sorry, but he doesn't call the shots
In fact, this would be the perfect off-season to NOT trade Danault - its a contract year for him before UFA status and I'm sure we're going to get the best year out of him. 40+ points for him is not unreasonable, even on a 3rd C defensive role and 50pts wouldn't surprise me either. Yes, we may lose him for nothing next off-season but I'd much rather take that risk and go into this next season with great depth down the middle and load up on high profile scoring wingers which is what the habs absoloutely need right now.

We don't need Yost since we have similar players in Lekhs, Byron, Poehling and maybe even RHP and Ikonen.
I agree with trying to move Tatar but you should also get rid of other dead weight in Domi, Mete, Kulak, Weal, Oulette. (its time to start making room for our youth to move in - ie. Poehling, Juulsen, Fleury)

Dead weight Domi Mete Kulak lmao yeah right because Kulak is so bad, horrible. Why are we still using him right ? He doesn’t really makes mistakes, doesn’t have flaws, but wtf is this name Kulak, let’s trade him. You probably should start watching games instead of complaining like a baby. Fleury isn’t ready, Juulsen we’ll see at camp, he could move Mete, if Romanov isn’t ready Mete plays, he’s 22 yo. We need to keep him around another 1-2 season, Kulak stays. Weal have another year on is contract, maybe he’ll be traded, but he can play C/RW/LW so good 13th forward. Timmins likes Jost, so it makes senses, he wanted to draft him in 2016 before Sergachev felled to 9. Having good defensive players on the bottom six is ideal
