Description
Some ideas to bring toughness and balance the team. Based on talks and current team situations

1. The Minnesota trade gives the team a reasonably priced center who could become a 2c for them and gives the leafs a tough 3rd line wing

2. The Washington trade original poster (https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/357866?post_id=1696931)

3. Coyotes get cap space, a prospect who could push the line up, a cheap wing/center in engvall and a 3rd pick while toronto gets a rental (they could resign him but i dont see how)

4. Leafs trade Holl for Wallmark. Leafs get a defensive 3c and Florida gets a RD to help them out.

In general these are just some ideas to help balance out this team. Let me know what you think.

As for the 1st round pick. The ideal situation trade it for a Muzzin Caliber Dman. The reality is with this flat cap thats gonna be a hard thing to do. On top of that most of those guys are not gonna be cheap to sign or bring in.

I need to take time to think about who would be the best fit (Other than Parayko) and what the trade would need to look like.

Holl would be the third best dman on your dcore but okay. In general with the 10mill in cap cuts Florida is gonna be in trouble. Defense is a mess along with goaltending. Wallmark did not look good as your 2c or even 3c. Plus all the dman on your roster but Ekblad and Weegar looked good. This would benefit both sides but k

3rd best on the team that’s a good one. Goaltending will rebound next season so that’s irrelevant. Cap cutting is a rumor but wouldn’t be surprised if it actually happened. Why would division rivals “help” each other get better? Cats want to upgrade Ekblad’s partner in order to drop Weegar to second pair natural side if anything...Holl doesn’t accomplish that.
