Description

Edmonton has two options for their third line LHD, Brandon Davidson and Darnell Nurse, and a gaping hole on the right side second pairing.

I chose to trade Nurse because he has the higher value of him and Davidson, enough to get a second pairing guy because of his potential.

San Jose seems like a decent trading partner because although they aren't necessarily rebuilding, they're tight against the cap and get to shed some salary while still acquiring a roster player.

It also helps that San Jose can afford to lose Braun. Their RD are currently Burns, Martin and Braun. Losing Braun also means that they can give a chance to Dylan DeMelo on the third pairing.

They may lose Nurse, but they fill a hole (some Chiarelli enjoys doing), but they also give Davidson regular minutes, and gain a draft pick in the process.

LOL No way does Nurse get you Braun, Braun could easily e an $8 million D-man next summer all the Oilers need is an expensive D-man.
