honestly and truly not sure either but have heard a LW of not Jake DeBrusk's caliber is in trade talks with Edmonton and Ritchie will be an RFA at his contacts end so more value than Archibald and with that extra value Edmonton doesn't like Klefbom for whatever reason and Boston needs a LD so gave the value with the Ritchie trade it would take to pry him from Edmonton might take higher pick though but not a first

So the Oilers trade their best D man who is signed for 3 more years pretty cheap for a pile of spare parts? Sure. 🙄
