The value isn't the problem, the trade just doesn't make sense for Montreal.
We'd be getting a defenseman we have no need for and trading away a RW, the thing we most desperately need.

This could be true, but how would anyone know for sure? Sandin hasn't played a professional game in 6 months or so, maybe he's having an incredible off-season, comes into camp looking ready to play 16+ min per night.

And no one has seen what Lehtonen looks like on NA ice.

Kind of hard to make such a definitive statement.
