Calgary declines, For the last time Arizona is financially broke there's noway in hell Bill Armstrong is retaining $2,250,000 on Ekman-Larsson for another 7 seasons they can't afford it. Markstrom isn't worth 6 x $8,000,000 and it's a 23 man roster not 20 man roster.

Reportedly Markstrom is looking at either 4 x $6,000,000 or 5 x $6,000,000 and a 20 man roster isn't feasible over a 82 game season you need scratches to cover injuries etc. You'd basically be burning your players out too many back to back games. You'd be basically be expecting your regular lineup to play an entire 82 game season and that's just not remotely realistic.
