Description

Dump beagle, offer sheet Cernak. Better D, worse 2nd line, worse goaltending than 2019-20. Improve through the growth of young players, and give them a chance to prove themselves at the NHL level (for the sake of being a contributor for future runs or to improve their trade value). Give Baertschi a chance to play.

Make space for at cheaper draft capital cost next year in order to weather the cap storm.

Cernak is a very interesting case. Bolts wont be able to match that. Ive seen many of these on ACGM. Its a good move. Much better than trading for OEL, thats for sure.

Virtanen, thats a rich deal. im surprised they even qualified him with what going on.

Agreed on both - I'm trying to set conservative numbers to see what is realistic. With toffoli not re-signed (the premise of this ACGM), virtanen is almost necessary without acquiring other RW options. Would love to see Baertschi get a crack at the roster again, I think by sticking him in the minors last season they have absolutely tanked his value and is the reason we can't ship him out now.
