Description
It's obvious that Vancouver still needs to make moves. They have too high of payroll, and too few experienced D-men. It will be difficult to ice a roster with two rookie D-men, and one sophmore. It is glaringly obvious that we'll need to ship out prospect or draft pick or both in order to offload a contract. Only three contracts are helpful to lose - Eriksson, Beagle and Roussel. Losing Baertschi, Benn or Sutter only gives us relief for this year. We need room next year.

What do people think? Who goes? Where? At what price?

Honestly I think if VAN can move the Eriksson contract for similar to what BOS did with Backes I don't think VAN fans can be to mad. Example: Eriksson @ 25% Retained, 2021 1st + B Prospect for a Top 9 Forward may not be great but it frees up 4.5m over the next 2 years. For what you hope costs a Mid/Late 1st & a Middle 6 Forward prospect

Ferland's agent is claiming he'll be ready for the start of the season. Head injuries are always hard to tell though.

I think the Canucks would like to stay away from offering a 1st round pick as compensation, opting instead to dangle Virtanen + a 2nd or 3rd, or Gaudette + a 2nd or 3rd.
