Habs future is not being able to afford to resign: Patches, Sherbak, or Lehkonen to name a few? Patches will get at least a 1.5 m raise in contract at least if not more.

If Price plays as well as he has, does he not deserve to make more than that? I know teams don't wanna spend a lot on goaltending but I would think MTL should be paying him 10m per year

Price is a team guy and wants to win the Cup, He will take a team Friendly contract in order to maximize that chance. Thats what Crosby did and look what happened to Pittsburgh
