Description

If (big if) the Leafs were to win the cup, I do not picture Thornton and Spezza coming back. I think they would probably retire on the glory of helping the Leafs win there first cup in over 50 years. I signed Hutton as insurance in case Liljegren does not pan out in the top six. l think this is as deadly as a team as it is now. I wish I could have fit Filipino under the cap, but I ran out of cap space. He would probably be resigned in my estimation if Toronto was to win the cup because they would be probably enough room to squeeze him in under the cap.

Thornton doesn't play centre....yea I think he retires as I can't see room for him on the Leafs. Riitch hasn't look good. Dermot as top 6 Dman gets more $$$ from some team.
Can't see Seattle selecting a UFA goalie.

I could see Spezza coming back another year no matter what but I don't think Thornton will. Replace Thornton with Brooks or Engvall on the 4th line next year.

I think that Hyman will be signing a deal worth $4.5 a year.

I agree with the Spezza and Simmonds contracts but Simmonds might make a bit more.

Unless Rielly has a PHENOMINAL playoffs I think we can safely assume his 20 goal season was an anomaly and he really is a 6 goal dman and can be considered to be a candidate to be moved for an asset and replaced with Sandin. Some suggest Rielly will be making $6.5 MIL on his next contract. Since 2018-19 he hasn't shown that he is worth it.
