One pays Foegele and a 2nd to take Gardiner not to protect Skjei. If Skjei goes, Skjei goes. Plenty of decent 3rd pair options in Lajoie, Ryan, Keane, and some UFAs.

They wouldn’t take Skjei, but I would take that if I was Seattle unless you didn’t protect Jake Bean.

Yeah Gards is cooked, he’s skating on one leg. Maybe he retires? Either way, his buyout is not too terrible (4 years between $1M - $1.5M AAV). However, if Seattle were interested for cap floor purposes I could see paying something for Gards to be the pick.
