The Playoffs Expectations Index is as follows:



The team that ranks 1st usually exceeds expectations in the playoffs

The teams that rank 2nd and 3rd usually meet expectations in the playoffs.

The team that ranks 4th usually fails to meet expectations in the playoffs.




This index is based on a team's success rate of winning a playoff round within the last 10 years when said team makes the playoffs.

The qualifying rounds from last year are included in this index.

The # of Stanley Cup wins as well as the furthest a team has gotten within the last 10 years is mentioned as a side note.
