realistic alternative to Rittich is Reimer, and while I actually like Reimer, I just can't see it happening.

many want to see some return for Rielly before his contract expires, but i think you have to hope that you get more return by keeping him.
only thing i can think of(outside the box) is a swap with Vancouver for Holtby+picks.
Its similar money for each player, both contracts are expiring. Holtby would be a good proven guy to back up Campbell imo, and Leafs could stock up a pick or two in the process. Nucks should be confident in Demko by now I would think? Theyd get to round out their top 4D for the season, and have negotiating rights with a hometown kid going forward.
