Description

This is what I would like to see the leafs do. I hesitated to add getzlaf( between him or brassard) but I still think he has a lot left in him plus he has won the cup. I wasn’t sure if the trade value was good with either bennett or domi but I would like to have them. I think sandin can handle a top 4 role IMO so that’s why I traded reilly.

Unfortunately, I don't think Florida will be willing to sell Bennett to Toronto regardless of price. 2021/2022 will see a return to the Atlantic division for both the Leafs and the Panthers, meaning it wouldn't make any sense at all for Florida to beef up divisional rivals.

In all likelyhood, Toronto will be worse this year than they were in a shortened season vs the other Canadian teams. This is Florida's time to leapfrog them in the standings. Why would they give them any quality roster players?
