I don't mind the Sabers trade
The Devils shouldn't trade Zacha
I rather keep Butcher, who has one year less than Ghost

I'm also not sure why the flyers would do this. we get 1 year less and about 800k in savings; but that's about it. If this were a trade with a western team, then maybe; but there's no way I run the risk of trading seemingly equally skilled guys to a div. rival and having my side stagnate/regress, while the other progresses and reaches full potential.

All I see is the JVR for Schenn trade that totally worked out great for us all those years ago!

I think this season has made it clear that Zacha is not a center and since our farm is pretty stacked at wing I‘d look around for help at defense or in goal like I did with Dunn here.

Ghost got benched, scratched and waived during the last couple of years so I don‘t think you should worry to much about wether he pops somewhere else or not. That‘s a risk you have with every trade you make…

And imo your downplaying the fact a little bit that Philly becomes more flexible with their cap situation which is certainly important since we‘re living in a flat cap environment and Philly is rumoured to have a pretty active offseason.

Torn as a Blues fan. The value is great for the Blues, but doesn't fill a team need. Zacha is a better center than wing and Blues are loaded at center. Make it Wood instead.
