Decide on wether I stick with Sutter or bring in a younger coach, different veteran (I like Bob Hartley, and I'd really think about Babcock)

Its tight right now cap wise... my assumption is we lose someone valuable to Seattle

If you protect 3 D and 7 F do you expose Giordano thinking they wont take his contract with his age and if they do live with it? Then you protect

tough call on Lucic he had a good year for him but at $5.7M its still buyout /expose I opted buyout assuming he would be gone either way and I'd go on a limb with young guys like Zary and Pelletier (or older guys with similar salary)

Protect on D: Andersson, Hanfin, Tanev

ideally we keep Giordano but he is 37/38 so need to start planning for world without him

in draft I would lean towards taking a D if available like Carson Lambos but if Chaz Luscius or Cole Sillinger are for example available at 11(10 really) I'm taking one of them

Protect Markstrom and expose/sign after SEA Mrazek

Gee, you wrote all that knowing that NTC Gourde ain't coming to Calgary and likely M NTC Johnson isn't also. And an incomplete roster and no cap.

Don't know why you want to fire Sutter, especially if you're thinking about the horrible coach in Babcock as a replacement
