Description

I don't mind Tyler Johnson, even at that cap hit, if it returns a young player at a position of need. He can play wing or center and will be moveable (with retention) in one or two years. Tampa will obviously not want to make a deal like this, but may not have many options this off season.

With not much to work with, Seattle may just take the Roussel instead of Myers/Johnson/Holtby. I don't see Gadjovich as an option for them as he requires waivers and clearly doesn't have the skating to play in the NHL now or maybe even ever.

Tampa needs Johnson gone with out doubt, not necessarily for this year but the year after when Point gets paid.
Same can be said for Gourde.

Those 2 players gone, free up almost $11m in space for the next 3++ years, much needed.
Moving Kilhorn, Palat, Cernak or Foote does nothing.
Tampa has no high picks left to sandwich with Johnson, so all thats left is Foote.

Johnson and Foote for nobody
Seattle takes Gourde.....
or trade Gourde for an anything pick and let Seattle take Palat/Kilhorn.
