Carolina gets a D rental in Wideman, who's an excellent offensive and physical presence. He's not too good in his own zone however, so should be sheltered...

STL get back Brower and Elliot, who they're very familiar with. With Allen struggling, the Blues could very well go with a goalie that's worked for them in the past; albeit he's struggling this season (2.02 GAA and .921 SV% in last 6 games).. Cgy retains their 3rd, and get a 4th and 5th. Flames also get a reliable backup in Hutton, and a struggling winger in Yakupov.

Hutton can ease Budaj's workload in LA, as he can be relied on to start games..

Flames get another scoring winger in Neal, and the preds get Versteeg who's an excellent playmaker, Bouma, who's a solid PK man and a physical presence, and a class B goaltending prospect in McDonald plus a third

    So bad. Try to think of the other teams' needs when proposing trades pls.

    The canes are in no position to be giving away picks for a pending UFA. Elliot Friedman recently reported that the Blues are not interested in bringing Elliot back, nor would the flames move him. He is insurance, especially because Johnson isn't a sure fire #1 and there is a lot of games yet to be played. The Flames signed Brouwer for 4 years, they are not giving up on him before the first season is even done, especially with the upcoming playoff push and considering he has played fairly well. The James Neal trade is just trash. Nashville fans will be laughing at that.
