risto can play both sides i believe. if anything we move him down and play him with romanov. i think all of the rfa's will take bridge deals. bergy can find cap space. danault has been elite defensively, but he can't score for shxt. he knows that and he won't get more than 4.5 to 4.8 in free agency. armia signs for less but longer term. its a flat cap. he's not getting overpaid. perry's already at league min. both are getting performance bonuses too.
for a team laden with prospects and picks, you're becoming the Toronto Maple Leafs and getting too old and capped out.
Sorry I just cant see all these guys taking bridge deals (especially when newly resigned gallagher is dispatched almost immediately), or that players who can get better playing time and chances and monies elsewhere on other contenders will stay for less in MTL.
And I agree on your analysis of Dandanault, but he did turn down 5.5 from MTL, hes not going to say yes to 4.5mil, especially when RNH comes aboard.
You're signings are light and you've still got just an 18 skater team this year. Next year (and remember your want your players to produce) Tkachuk will want 9mil, Suzuki will want 4-5mil and romanov 2-3mil, thats 3 players eating all of the cap space on a 16 skater squad. So somebody will have to go...
Put it this way, without RNH you can probably afford real salaries and those moves (although the CGY deal is light), but you've probably gone a step or two too far.
